Welcome to Westridge
Welcome to Westridge.
We are a vibrant and diverse community that is grounded in the commitment to goodness in all aspects of life and learning.
She is encouraged to learn and thrive in new ways, to try new things, and to be resilient.
At Westridge, girls gain the confidence and courage to stand up and speak for the ideals of responsibility and integrity as they take their places in an ever-changing world.
I believe that we stand “on the shoulders of giants” – as Isaac Newton once remarked— and we certainly build on the cornerstones that our founder Mary Lowther Ranney laid so securely a century ago. From the very beginning, Westridge’s progressive educational foundation, based on intellect, opportunity, independence, and goodness were ahead of their time—and still hold true today. We are justly proud of our academic heritage that stretches back over the decades, firmly based in the Humanities, Math, and Sciences.
Our esteemed faculty members serve as guides to students embarking on the journey to find their chosen paths. Our teachers are mentors, facilitators, and coaches. They challenge our students in the best possible ways to explore, to read, write, think, create and compute, so that they have a breadth and depth of experience that gives them confidence to seek the path to college and beyond – to blaze trails as informed, ethical, and empathetic young women in a world that desperately needs their leadership and compassion.
As you explore our unique, research-based approach to Educating Girls and discover the strengths in our Athletics and Arts programs, I invite you to contact our Admission office to learn more about a Westridge education.
