She teaches English and leads the Upper School Service Learning Program, helping juniors and seniors with their Community Action Projects (CAPs) and working with different members of the community to determine their unmet needs for 9th-12th grade service opportunities. She came to Westridge from Woodside High School, where she taught for 12 years. Erica has a life-long commitment to community service, including co-founding Woodside’s Green Academy – a program that focuses on efficient use of water and energy. With Green Academy, she spearheaded the installation of a large organic garden on campus and led student trips to provide water filtration systems to countries that do not have them.
