"Power of One" Exhibits - 7th Grade Social Studies
The "Power of One" event is led by our 7th graders, but students from all grade levels, faculty, and staff alike turn out for this meaningful day.
7th graders work diligently in Social Studies class to create exhibits focusing on the unbelievable difference one person can make. Each student selects a member from their local community who they believe is an upstander – someone not standing by in the face of injustice. They interview their upstander and develop an informative visual presentation, reflecting the person's work. Students gain valuable experience presenting their work and answering questions for visitors to the exhibit, an audience which includes many of the profiled upstanders themselves.
