Ceramics & Throwing Olympics

Ceramics has a special place at Westridge, with all students taking the class during their tenure here.  The work is taken very seriously as reflected in the incredible work – but the faculty makes sure there is joy in learning.  For instance, this year they hosted The Throwing Olympics.  As an added twist to their normal projects, our artists created works with time and material constraints, blindfolded, and in teams.  The "games" involved a lot of movement and collaborative competition, introducing new challenges to their work and allowing students to exercise their creativity in different ways.
