Posted 04/05/2019 04:11PM

Debate season is entering the home stretch, and our team continues its impressive growth, bringing home a record number of awards this year. Members of the team qualified to compete in both the State and National final competitions. Four students qualified for Nationals (four more are alternates) and will compete with the top 400 speakers in their categories from across the country! Seven students will be going to State next month with four more attending as alternates.

Other exciting tournaments this semester were the High School Spring Varsity Tournament in February where the Westridge team placed 2nd overall in their division, and the Berkeley Tournament at UC Berkeley which is the largest tournament the team attends with more than 3000 entries from 23 states and countries.
