The Westridge Difference - You Had Me at Hello
Posted 01/10/2016 10:00AM

There is something different about this place.  It’s not just the beautiful grounds and the historic architecture, or the impressive state-of-the-art science building; it’s not even the promise of an exceptional education.  While all of this is true, it is the soul of Westridge that makes it so different.

At our core is a commitment to the whole girl – a developmental approach that encompasses knowledge, responsibility, and empathy.

This school provides a challenging academic environment that encourages collaboration, compassion, and intellectual vitality.  Along the way, students will experience many things outside of their comfort zones, allowing them to question the status quo and find their own answers.  Our dedication to the whole girl is evident in the zeal of the Lower School, the passion of the Middle School, and the verve of the Upper School.

Our girls grow right before our eyes.

Westridge’s beautiful campus beats with the heart of young girls with a strong sense of self and purpose – a freedom of expression that only an all-girls school allows.  A myriad of artists, athletes, intellectuals, dreamers and social activists make up this environment.  Your daughter can only thrive in such a place that fosters individual freedom, critical thinking and strength of character.

As a parent of a recent Westridge graduate, and a current junior, I have observed the intellectual and personal growth of my daughters.  They have evolved into stellar young women who are thoroughly prepared for college, who have developed “their voice”, seeking to enrich the world around them.

The very first time I stepped on this beautiful campus was at the January Open House in 2008.  I was greeted by genuine warmth from the Westridge Parent Association.  They had me at “hello.”  There is an energy of engagement and inclusion from the parent community that supports us alongside our girls in their academic journey.

As you enjoy the Westridge journey with your daughters, it is my hope that you will seek out areas for involvement and enjoy all this special place has to offer.  Our community is only made better by every family’s participation.

Lives of impact begin at Westridge.  YOU are The Westridge Difference!
