This week, Upper School Student Voices and Director of Equity Ian Tatum hosted Sam Prater, the founder of LA Room & Board—an organization focused on creating transitional living-learning communities for Los Angeles college students experiencing housing insecurity—at an Upper School assembly.
This week, Madeline Court was bustling with Upper School students as they met with representatives in person from 38 colleges and universities from around the country for the annual mini college fair hosted on campus!
A big congratulations to Teia L. '26, who bested her previous school record in pole vault with an extraordinary performance, going from 8'9" last year to clearing 11'4" at the Redondo Union Invitational!

Check out some stellar artwork from our Upper School students in 3D Design, Photo I & II, and Clay Design & Engineering! Students created sculpture pieces (including an interactive piece!), created personality tritychs (work of art divided into three sections), and fashioned mugs with unique handle shapes.
Congratulations to the cast and crew of Westridge Theatre’s rendition of The SpongeBob Musical!
More than 150 students, siblings, alums, and parents turned to the skies at our Westridge Star Party in early March! Dinner on Madeline Court was followed by brief presentations about galaxies and dark matter—and, of course, some night sky viewing!
Students from the Middle Eastern and North African (MENA) Affinity led a Middle and Upper School assembly in preparation for Nowruz (meaning "new day" in Farsi), the Persian New Year celebration!
Let's get 'mathy' (as 4th Grade Teacher Danielle Houser would say)! Lower School students attended a special assembly last week featuring guest speaker Dr. Arthur Benjamin. Benjamin—a professor of mathematics and self-described "mathmagician"—put on a spectacular show, intriguing students with magic and math. Also: the Lower School Math Club celebrated Pi Day!
