It was a festive few days around campus, marked by a hodgepodge of fun activities, trips, and special occasions. Off campus, our Mandarin Chinese students went on a field trip to the Huntington Library, Art Museum, and Botanical Gardens, where they took a tour (led by Westridge Director of Alumnae Relations Fan Wang, who used to work there!) and learned about the history and cultural significance of the garden. On campus, the week kicked off with ASB’s Spirit Week, which had students on campus dressed in their most creative fits—inspired by themes including werewolves vs. vampires and favorite memes, amongst others.

Plus, Westridge Director of Equity Ian Tatum spoke to our Lower School students about the school’s beloved tradition Yam Festival! He spoke about the rich cultural significance of yams and what this event—founded by the Families of Black Students at Westridge—represents.

Safe to say, it was an eventful few days at Westridge. See a full photo gallery here.
