With Commencement quickly approaching next Friday and seniors already finished with classes, their last days as Westridge Tigers have been spent recognizing their accomplishments—and celebrating the transition to senior year for our current juniors!
During the Senior Recognition assembly, members of the Class of 2024 were saluted for their work and personal development in a variety of academic, leadership, and extracurricular endeavors. Whether they spent their Tiger years conducting research in the lab, immersing themselves in world languages, publishing insightful written works, excelling in varsity sports, creating imaginative art, serving as leaders in the community, or any of the infinite other ways students carve their own paths, each award was well-deserved.
Before heading to Big Bear for their class retreat, seniors also gathered at Merwin House for a brunch with Head of School Andrea Kassar, where they wore special (and at times silly) hats and discussed the many hats students wear now—sibling, child, best friend—and the new hats they will wear as graduates. The class was officially welcomed into the alumnae community by Alumnae Board Chair Jessica Yang '10 and Vice Chair Nicole Rabaudi '90. "No matter what style of hat you put on next, please know that you will always have the support, friendship, and admiration of the Westridge alumnae community," Yang said. "Hats off to the Class of 2024!"

The Class of 2025 received their school rings during the Junior Ring Ceremony—a tradition that dates back all the way to 1936, celebrating the transition into senior year and the start of a final chapter at Westridge. Class president Kayla A. summed up the sentiment best in her speech, reminding us to focus on enjoying our friendships and soaking up the present moment. Cheers to you, juniors!
