Shout out to the staff of our student newspaper Spyglass! The student staffers won a striking number of awards from the 2025 Private School Journalism Association contest, co-sponsored by the Quill & Scroll International Honorary Society for High School Journalists. The contest honors “a pattern of excellence over the course of a year” among private and independent school student journalists, per the Quill & Scroll website.

• Frances B. '27 won third place in the Social Media Journalist of the Year award category

• Rebecca L. '27 won the first place in the News Writer of Year category with Ella B. '25 in second place!

• Rebecca was also named Sophomore of the Year , while Karalim C. '28 was named Freshman of the Year!

• Ella B. '25 was recognized in second place for the Sports Writer of the Year category

• Seniors Sophene A., Ella B., Mirella C., Tanvi C., and Reed D.; juniors Kristin C. and Valentina V.; and sophomores Rebecca L., Tekle S.-J. took third place in Editorial Leadership 

• Westridge also took the first and third place Continuous Team Coverage awards.
