Shout out to Lilian L. '25, who was named a 2025 National Merit Scholarship finalist and winner of a $2,500 merit scholarship! To be considered, she took the PSAT/NMSQT and earned a qualifying score as a junior. Then, as a senior, she completed an extensive application including an essay, her academic record, and information on school/community activities, and was recommended and supported in her application by the Westridge College Counseling Team.

An estimated 1.3 million students around the United States take the exam, from which 16,000 are recognized as semifinalists. Around 15,000 students were named finalists—Lilian is one of 6,870 to earn the National Merit scholarship from that group. Kudos!
