Seniors Helena C., Melissa L., and Olivia T. have been named 2026 National Merit Scholarship Semifinalists! To be considered for the recognition, these Westridge students scored among the top 16,000 high school students in the country out of an estimated 1.3 million students who took the PSAT/NMSQT. The nationwide pool of semifinalists represents less than 1% of United States high school seniors, per the National Merit Scholarship Corporation!

The Westridge College Counseling team will support all three students as they continue the National Merit Scholarship application process this fall, competing for one of approximately 6,870 National Merit scholarships totaling nearly $26 million. To be considered a finalist, students must submit extensive applications including an essay, their academic record, and participation in school and community activities.
