Ahead of the last day of school, Lower School students celebrated the culmination of a year of creativity and hard work at today’s Learning Showcase Open House! Students have proudly guided family and loved ones through displays of projects and presentations representing months of learning, which have included:

• The 6th Grade Historical Gallery Walk—students brought history to life as they performed dramatic monologues and presented visual art projects representing their chosen historical figure (with some dressed as a character from their figurine's time period!). Those represented included the first computer programmer Ada Lovelace; the first female sovereign in ancient Korea Queen Seondeok; first queen of Hawaii Liliʻuokalani; and British World War II agent and first female wireless operator Noor Inayat Khan.
• Fifth Grade Think, Care, Act Project—The fifth-grade class culminated their research projects with an exhibition, where students highlighted their chosen local and global issues such as homelessness; ocean, food, and microplastic pollution; the bee extinction crisis; climate change, to name a few.
• The Learning Showcase Open House—Students also demonstrated their math workbooks from Mr. Cuter's class, Incan Quipus (ancient string writing language) from Ms. Leon's Spanish Class, art journals in Ms. Trimarchi's class, and so much more!

Today’s celebration comes after the “Convergence”-themed Middle & Upper School Art Exhibition that took place just last week, which featured artwork from over 150 students displayed in galleries throughout campus. And a shout out to our Lower School artists, whose work was on display the week prior! We hope you enjoyed the displays of the artistic talent across our student body.
