From on campus activities and local field trips in the Lower School to exploring magical pockets of the Greater Los Angeles area and the California coastline in Middle School, Discovery Week has been all about fun exploration and creating unforgettable memories with classmates!
- In Lower School, our students reached new heights (literally and figuratively!) this week as they participated in activities including climbing a rock wall, crafting anthropomorphized puppets (and performing with them!), trying their hand at improv acting, traveling to the Disney Concert Hall, an overnight trip to the Ocean Institute, and undertaking a plant-study both on campus in the Permaculture Garden and off campus in the Arlington Garden.
- In the Middle School, our 7th graders toured the Chinese American Museum and explored the city with the Los Angeles Conservancy, went whale watching, and visited Disney’s Imagination Campus for a fun, immersive storytelling workshop. The 8th graders ventured to Morro Bay where they kayaked, toured La Cuesta Encantada (also known as Hearst Castle), and explored tidepools at Spooner’s Cave.
