Lower School African Drums Assembly (See a video here)

To kick off Black History Month, the Lower School held an African Drums Assembly featuring guest performers from Rhythms of the Village band, which featured energizing Djembe drumming, an African dance demonstration, and engaging storytelling from Cal State LA Professor Baba Onochie Chukwurah that got students (staff and faculty, too!) to dance and move to the beat of the drums. See a video here! Read more about the Altadena-based band and related store Rhythms of the Village, which is regaining its footing after the Eaton Fire, here.
