Westridge campus was buzzing with energy yesterday afternoon as Lower School students excitedly led their friends and family around classrooms, Ranney Court, and other spaces to show off the amazing projects and bodies of work done throughout the school year. To name a few…
- Students brought history to life at the 6th Grade Historical Gallery Walk! Students (some dressed as their historical figure) performed dramatic monologues and presented visual art projects representing their historical figures such as American geologist and oceanographic cartographer Marie Tharp, Puerto Rican trailblazer Rita Moreno, and the first female sovereign in ancient Korea Queen Seondeok.
- Fifth graders displayed their Think, Care, Act Project trifolds—the culmination of their student-led service projects on topics such as banned books, ocean pollution, social media addiction, and animal shelters.
- Students also demonstrated their book-inspired Cereal Box Book Report and STEM Portfolios in Ms. Houser’s class, terrariums in Mr. Carabajal's science class, Incan Quipus (ancient string writing language) from Ms. Leon's Spanish Class, art journals in Ms. Trimarchi's class, and so much more!
Students and loved ones then came together on Ranney Court for light refreshments and tasty bites in celebration of hard work and the conclusion of another school year! Thank you to everyone who attended. For those who were not able to make it or want a refresher of the day, click here for a photo gallery. Brava, Lower School!
