Here is what you missed around campus over the last few weeks:

The 4th graders headed to the Norton Simon Museum in Pasadena last week to supplement their study of the life and works of artists Vincent van Gogh and Edgar Degas in Lower School Art Teacher Val Trimarchi’s class. To prepare for the trip, the class created oil pastel master studies—or replications—of a van Gogh painting and made ballet dancers out of modeling clay. At the museum, they went on an exciting scavenger hunt to find paintings and sculptures, followed by an hour spent outside drawing in the museum gardens.

The 6th grade class kicked off the week with an exciting interscholastic volleyball tournament against neighboring independent schools. Sixth graders were split into small teams, which played in a series of friendly indoor and outdoor matches on Frank Field and in Hoffman Gym. Shout out to the students, parents, faculty, and staff who showed up to root for our Tigers!
