  • Lorri Deyer's film class toured Disney Studios, including a sound studio, and a trailer production company.
  • The Clay Design & Engineering class heard from guest speaker textile artist and painter Nicole de Leon on her artistic engraving and printing work process to inform the class’s processes as they make their own surface decoration patterns on their bowls.

  • The Photo II class, led by teacher Shannon Keller, went on a street photography trip to Little Tokyo where students captured dynamic motion blur and reflection shots.

  • To compliment the 4th graders weaving unit (they weave on cardboard looms), the class had a visit this week from Patti Winkle, a weaver who brought in one of her wooden looms (students had the opportunity to try their hand at the larger format process!)

  • The Precalculus class held a probability carnival on Foreman Courtyard.

  • The Jewish Affinity celebrated Hanukkah with lunchtime desserts.

  • The 5th graders kicked off their holiday celebration with an exciting sock and book “secret snowflake” gift exchange after enjoying some holiday breakfast snacks.
  • 5th grade enjoyed a Cookies and Conversations gathering with Head of School Andrea Kassar.
