Congratulations to our Middle and Upper School students who participated in Speech & Debate this year! The team celebrated their accomplishments and celebrated seniors with their families and coaches at their banquet, aptly-named Debanquet, last week.

In the last leg of their season, the Upper School team attended the California High School State Championships in April. In order to participate, competitors had to be in the top 5 of their event at the local qualifier. The Westridge team had 14 state qualifiers—a major accomplishment! This year, the team had the most breaks (people who made it into the elimination rounds). 

The Middle School team competed at the California Middle School State Championships in May. Numerous members gave impressive performances and commendable results!

Next, Upper School members will compete at the Grand National Speech & Debate Association Tournament later this month. Good luck, Tigers!
