The Upper School Latine Affinity culminated Hispanic Heritage Month—an annual celebration of the history and culture of Latine and Hispanic communities observed from September 15 to October 15—with a final lunchtime Baila Conmigo (“dance with me”) workshop centered around merengue. Led by Westridge Spanish Teacher Dr. Jessica Pérez del Toro, students, faculty, and staff also learned to dance salsa, bachata, and cumbia!

The affinity also hosted the fourth annual LatinExcellence Assembly with special guest Guatemalan Producer-Writer (and Westridge parent!) Carolina Paiz earlier this month, led by affinity heads Kayla A. '25, Emmabella B. M. '25, and Sofia K. '25. Click here to read more about the assembly.
