To kick off Alumnae Weekend on March 6, we were thrilled to welcome the Class of 1976 (celebrating their 50th reunion!) for a special meet-and-greet with some of our youngest Tigers from the fourth grade Class of 2034! In small groups, the alums and 4th graders had the chance to get to know one another, reflect on Westridge memories, and learn about each other's different (and not-so-different!) Westridge experiences. Alums shared nuggets of wisdom and connected with students over their favorite memories—including the long-standing Greek & Roman tradition. Alumna Polly Matthews brought her now-vintage Westridge uniform, saddle shoes, and peanut-shaped lunchbox that the Class of 1976 rocked back in the day.

A day prior, the Middle and Upper School students had the opportunity to hear from the 2026 Distinguished Young Alumna Grace Pai '10. Pai, the executive director of Asian Americans Advancing Justice | Chicago, discussed how her formative years at Westridge instilled confidence in her to pursue a career in organizing for racial, economic, and immigrant justice. Click here to learn more about Pai as well as 2026 Mary Lowther Ranney Distinguished Alumna Michelle Rengarajan '03 (a physician-investigator and faculty member at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School, and the Broad Institute of Harvard and MIT).

More on Michelle: She has a particular focus on Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD), an aggressive degenerative muscle disorder, due to a diagnosis in her own family. She brings her background to patient advocacy work, bringing attention to and fighting for awareness around DMD. Additionally, she founded a large, public-private consortium uniting scientists and clinicians to tackle immune responses to genetic medicines.
