Continuing their study of robotics, the 4th graders have been hard at work over the last few weeks to prepare for a robot dance party in Lower School Teacher Monica Sanchez's class! Students choreographed a dance, wrote pseudocode (an informal programming description), and programmed their EV3 robots to dance. They worked in groups, learning about coding and applying their math skills together to accomplish the task. Each group member fulfilled a specific role (lead choreographer, lead engineer, quality control, and DJ) to make the dance party a success to tunes such as "Party in the USA" by Miley Cyrus, "Roar" by Katy Perry, and "Pink" by Lizzo in front of their peers, 7th graders, and Computer Science & Engineering faculty. They concluded the party by joining in on the dancing with the robots! Click here for a video of the dance party.
