Our 4th graders welcomed alumnae from the Class of 1975 back to campus as part of an annual tradition that brings together our youngest Tigers with alumnae celebrating their 50th reunion. The group participates in activities that involve imparting wisdom, heartfelt connection, and—as you can imagine—sharing of diverse Westridge experiences over cookies (this year made by alumna Isabella Thieltges ’18!) and refreshments.

Groups of students are paired with an alumna to talk hobbies, interests, pets, favorite meals, and more. This year, the gathering between the Class of 2033 and 1975 was commemorated via video! The 4th graders took turns interviewing their alumna Q&A style, with questions covering favorite class subjects and Westridge memories to the most valuable lesson learned and how the school prepared them for the future.

The throughline of most of the conversations was how deeply rooted the classmate bonds are that form at our special school.

“The women here have been friends my entire life—that is something that will always take care of you for the rest of your life,” alumna Kate Rock shared with Elliot S. ’33.

When Divya L. ’33 asked how Westridge prepared alumna Andrea Malin for the future, Malin remarked: “Westridge School made me believe I could do anything. It gave me a strong educational foundation, a great commitment to friendships, and a belief that everything was in my grasp—and I still believe it.”
