It all starts with...

...GREAT TEACHERS
.

"I love the jubilant feeling of walking into our classroom...and the kindest teachers who make you feel like you can do anything and be anyone!"
Ashley ’19

"Westridge has the most wonderful teachers who will listen to and be available for the students.  They guide us and encourage us. It’s amazing that Westridge has so many adults who we can trust and go to especially as teenagers.  They are truly wonderful!"     — Misao ’14

"I really appreciate the way the teachers really care; they want us to do well.  They’ll take on extra work for themselves and stay after class or after school to make sure we master the concept.  They’re passionate about what they’re teaching, and that makes us passionate too."   — Erika ’13

"There is a remarkable support system at Westridge. All of the faculty members express a dedication to helping students discover their own passions and go out of their way to grant them the tools necessary to fulfill their ambitions."      — Cassie ’12

...COMPELLING CURRICULUM.

"The excitement I feel for science is because of my teacher and the cool projects she comes up with.  We don’t just listen to a boring lecture.  We learn about science in so many different ways.  I can see myself as a scientist in the future because of her!"    — Ella ’18

"I couldn’t live without my art class. It’s our chance to really talk to each other (while we do our art). We’re taught to “love” our art. If we are stuck or not happy with how it’s going, our teacher tells us to give our creation more love. She’s always happy and always looking on the bright side. She’s amazing!"  — Hannah ’19

"I love being in the costume shop with Ms. Hawk where I can learn and explore all of the different drama productions through fashion.”   — Kaitlin ’15

"During my senior year, I embarked on an Independent Study in Filmography. With the school’s support, I was able to take control of my own education and explore different fields of cinematography that weren’t typically offered in high school classrooms."   — Cassie ’12

...STRONG COMMUNITY.

"I couldn’t live without all the kindness of the people at Westridge, especially my friends. Being at Westridge makes me happy and when I am happy I learn more."   — Summer ’19

"I like that there are no boys to distract us and that class size is small enough that we all get time and attention of our teacher."  — Hannah ’19

"Westridge’s sense of community makes it a very appealing place to want to attend school.  Even though the academics are challenging there is never a sense of isolation because your friends and teachers are always there to lend a guiding hand. Community is also present especially during town meeting where we sit in a circle and listen to our peers play music and have open discussion to express our ideas and opinions."    — Erin ’14

"Westridge has really given me a home – a place that defines me, where I can be confident and comfortable being myself, and a place where people know my name and I know theirs.
Because of Westridge, I’ll never forget where I went to high school and I’ll never want to; Westridge is very special to me."    — Elinor ’12
