Student Leadership

Major leadership roles for Westridge students are available at each grade level. In addition to the student government opportunities available at Lower, Middle, and Upper School divisions listed below, leadership roles also range from community service projects to editors of various school publications. There are over 100 potential leadership roles in the Upper School alone.

Lower and Middle School Officers

The Middle School student body officers run Middle School assemblies, address Middle School student issues, and plan Middle School activities. Each grade also elects a president and secretary to serve as class officers who are responsible for running all class meetings and planning class activities.

Likewise, the Lower School student council plans events and spirit activites for the 4th, 5th, and 6th Grades. Both councils work in conjunction with the Associated Student Body (ASB) on all-school activities.

Upper School ASB
The Associated Student Body (ASB) is a representative body of elected student leaders from Upper School who serve as leaders for the Westridge community, promote school spirit, and plan and organize Upper School events.  Every class in Upper School elects a cabinet and representatives of student association.

The Student Life Committee, composed of class representatives, meets weekly to invite student input and involvement in forwarding the mission of the school, to identify and resolve issues of concern and interest to the student body, and to provide a forum to discuss matters related to the moral and ethical climate of the Upper School. The committee also meets with representatives of the Board of Trustees and the Head of School several times a year.
