The Westridge Middle School experience bridges the two-year transition from childhood into adolescence. A crucial time in the formative development of girls, Westridge's Middle School program is grounded in research about how girls learn, interact, compete, and grow.
The interdisciplinary curriculum of Middle School remains attentive to the wide-ranging developmental requirements of 7th and 8th graders even as it prepares students for the work they’ll encounter in Upper School. It is here that emerging scholars learn to do increasingly sophisticated research; to analyze cause and effect relationships; to read and think critically; and to solve problems—all as they affirm their right as adolescents to be themselves.
