Today in Tracy Hoffman's science class, the 6th graders showcased their earthquake-resistant buildings (hospitals, apartments, and libraries, to be exact) they designed using pipe cleaners, straws, paper clips, tape, and toothpicks.

This school year, the new Field Studies in Geology class has taken the Upper School science program to new heights... literally! So far, the class has studied the stars at Mt. Wilson Observatory, gone exploring in Eaton Canyon, climbed dormant volcanoes at Carrizo Plain National Monument, and more.

The 7th Grade Cultural Studies program is an interdisciplinary course that combines English (taught by John Cross) and history (taught by Gigi Bizar) to engage students in connecting historical and cultural events.
