Cheers filled the Performing Arts Center as Associated Student Body (ASB) President Maimouna ’14 announced the school theme, “We’re All In This Together” during an all school assembly on Sept. 2.

“The Westridge community is a community built upon respect, support, responsibility, and integrity and although every individual student should practice these values, we, as a community, need to have each other’s backs and help spread our values as a whole, especially through spirit, mentorship, outreach, and our actions,” Maimouna said.

Just before the theme was revealed, ASB members wowed students, faculty and staff with a choreographed dance sequence that culminated with “We’re All in This Together” from Disney’s “High School Musical.”

The theme emulates Head of School Elizabeth McGregor’s Convocation message that the entire Westridge community recommit to our core values: integrity, respect, responsibility and inclusion.

“We chose this theme in order to emphasize the amazing connection our Westridge community has,” Maimouna said.  “I want all of us to reach out to each other across all divisions, to make new connections with students, teachers, staff, faculty and alumnae.”
